Every Amber is covered by a one-year limited warranty. This page explains what that covers, what it does not, and how to make a claim.
What is covered
Defects in materials and workmanship, for one year from the day the unit is delivered to you. If a covered fault appears in that time we repair the unit or replace it, at our option, at no cost to you, including shipping in both directions.
What is not covered
- Accidental damage, drops, liquid ingress, and anything caused by misuse.
- Damage caused by power supplies, cables or accessories we did not supply.
- Units opened, modified or repaired by anyone we have not authorised.
- Cosmetic wear from ordinary use, and the natural variation in shell, stone and cast metal, which is a property of the material rather than a fault.
- Loss and theft.
How to make a claim
Email support@hiiamber.com with your order number, a short description of the fault and, where you can, a photograph or a few seconds of video showing it. We answer within one business day. If the fault is covered we arrange collection and return the repaired or replacement unit to you.
Repairs and replacements
A repaired or replaced unit carries the remainder of the original warranty, or 90 days from the day it comes back to you, whichever is longer. Replacement units may use serviceable parts equivalent to new.
Software
Amber is in development and her software will keep improving after the First Edition ships. Updates that keep the device working as described are part of what you bought, not an extra. A feature added after your purchase is not a defect in the unit you already have.
Transfer
The warranty follows the unit for its full term, so an Amber given as a gift or sold on inside the year is still covered. Proof of the original purchase is needed for any claim.
Your statutory rights
This warranty is given in addition to, and does not affect, the rights you have under the consumer law of the country you bought from.
